Scents of lemon peel and sea breeze introduce a palate performance of fascinating contrasts, with tangy, bright lemon and gooseberry playing against a background of subtle lees-induced creaminess. Tart berry-seed crunch, piquant lemon peel and a chalky-stony amalgam all tug the finish in a decidedly austere direction, but there is certainly plenty of invigoration, not to mention sheer persistence.
