Riesling is known for its sweet characteristics. A German Riesling is coveted worldwide, for more than its character specific sweetness, also its versatility. It can be a variation of sweet to dry or sparkling.

Diel brings us a rebel bubbly full of all things tasty. Sekt is the German term for sparkling. Caroline, the proprietor and winemaker, who's family has owned this winery of historical significance, knows just how to harness Rieslings potential.

Scents of lemon peel and sea breeze introduce a palate performance of fascinating contrasts, with tangy, bright lemon and gooseberry playing against a background of subtle lees-induced creaminess. Tart berry-seed crunch, piquant lemon peel and a chalky-stony amalgam all tug the finish in a decidedly austere direction, but there is certainly plenty of invigoration, not to mention sheer persistence.
