Blaufränkisch is traditionally grown in Austria where it is known for its ageability with high acidity and firm tannin. This American version seems a bit softer and the full, round tannins are mellow. This wine has deep potential that will be revealed over time in the bottle. The acidity is persistent, with tart cherry and blackberry mingling with the spice notes.
