Barbera pulled from Zachariah's Block in Medocino County, Sonoma, California

This Barbera doesn't take itself too seriously, enjoy! Put me in the fridge 30 min before opening! Medium bodied and creamy, this aromatic wine is reminiscent of savory herbs and berry.  Purple sage, sundried tomato, blackberry, and elderberry syrup. Unfined & Unfiltered.

I'm from Washington DC, which is split into different wards, and my mother's maiden name is Ward. There are also four people in my family, I've created four different styles of wine to each represent a different person.

Justin Trabue found Ward Four Wines to pay homage to wines she grew up surrounded by at her dining room table. As her love for wine has grown, new staples have entered.

Ward Four Wines specializes in minimal intervention winemaking practices, sourcing from vineyards that honor ethical labor guidelines while using sustainable farming methods.

Each offering pays tribute to her family dynamics, showing how wine evokes emotions and how moments in time can be captured in one of life's simplest pleasures, a bottle of wine. Although, her story is full of amazing, trailblazing and forces for building on the industry with positive change, strength and empowerment. So much to share!

About the Label Artist: Rhythm Bowers (she/her), a multimedia artist from the Washington DC area, “Due to Continuously exploring the realm of my hands, I make art through various mediums and forms.”
