2019 Tapiz, Alta Collection, Cabernet Sauvignon Argentina
Tapiz means "tapestry" and this estate is a tapestry of wine profiles.
Tapiz also has one of the highest vineyards in Mendoza. About 4600 feet above sea level. The cold nights and sun filled days give this wine great color, structure and body.
Rich colored with garnet and violet tints precede aromas and flavors of fresh red fruits such as blackberries and plums are interspersed with notes of flowers and spice. The oak aging provides well-blended flavors of vanilla and toasted almond notes to support layers of blackberries and soft oak spice. Balanced and voluminous. Explosively fruity, fresh, and juicy.
A beautiful expression of San Pablo. IG 93 Points, James Suckling (’18)
