2022 Head High Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, Sonoma, California

This vintage lifts off with tropical fruit and lemon peel on the nose followed by a bright, crisp fruit-forwardness on the mouth leading into a pleasantly clean finish indicative of Sonoma County Chardonnay. Subtle but not simple, wood influence is barely detectable. The acidity is very well integrated with the fruit flavors. Vibrant and fruity, this full-bodied, unoaked wine will be a star with fish and shellfish. It melds a sense of richness from Bosc pears and Pippin apples along with appetizing acidity enhanced by blocking the malolactic conversion.
