Why These Producers, Why Together
The Shades of Vino Winter 2025 Collection was curated with intention -not only to showcase exceptional American wines, but to reflect the people and places behind them. At the close of each year, we look to reflect what is right in our backyard - connected in so many ways, imperative to remember and rejoice in. From soil to sip, we are blessed to have so many diverse and plentiful shades of vino as part of our sharing and connecting.
Each producer in this collection brings a distinct voice, shaped by their region, background, and approach to winemaking. Yet together, they form a larger story - one rooted in connection, resilience, and shared purpose, for us to experience - las we do a journey.
Across Washington, New York, California, Virginia, Maryland, and New Mexico, these producers are united by a belief that wine is more than a product, it’s a bridge. Whether crafted by women winemakers, Black and BIPOC-owned brands, a tight night family of generational vignerons or independent, diverse producers, these wines represent a commitment to craftsmanship and community. Their differences are not points of separation, but strengths - woven together through shared soil, shared effort, and shared intention.
Producers like LaShelle Wines exemplify this philosophy, with woman-owned, small-lot bottlings that reflect both Rhône and Italian traditions while remaining deeply expressive of Washington’s diverse AVAs. No Girls, founded by one of Washington’s most respected women winemakers, brings bold structure and confidence to the collection, while Chronicle Wines highlights the power of collaboration and how it creates accessibility, rooted in community-driven winemaking on the North Fork of Long Island.
From the East Coast, RGNY offers flavor curated by family, partnership and legacy - having traveled with Maria from Mexico to the United States, to share her perspective shaped by sustainability and a deep connection to land. With new and fresh persoective, Imperial 94 brings forward a rare and powerful voice from Prince George’s County, Maryland - where Black-owned wine brands are helping redefine what American wine looks like and who it represents. Gruet’s New Mexico sparkling wines remind us that tradition can flourish in unexpected places, proving that American terroir is as expansive as it is intertwined.
As the Shades of Vino collection continues to evolve, additional producers may be introduced who share these same values - makers who honor their roots, push boundaries thoughtfully, and contribute to a more inclusive and representative wine landscape. Each new addition strengthens the fabric of the collection, reinforcing the idea that while no two vineyards - or stories - are the same, they are connected beneath the surface.
Together, these wines invite us to slow down and gather with intention. They remind us that wine, like community, is built over time - through trust, care, and shared experience. In moments of celebration or reflection, these bottles offer more than flavor; they offer connection. And that is what it means to be woven together.
As you explore this season’s selections, we invite you to savor them Share them generously. Let them bring people together - whether your gathering is large or small or from afar. Because joy multiplies when shared, and even when some glasses feel less full, we are all woven together at the table.
