Light-bodied and crisp, with subtle exotic fruits, candied lemon zest, and pineapple notes. A subtle aromatic of light white florals and balanced minerality presents a freshness and a lively mouthfeel. Medium bodied with a hint of pastry adds some rich contrast on the finish.
Jules Lorén is a private label import from the prestigious Maison Veuve Ambal Vineyard and Estate in Burgundy. This is a 6th generation owned and operated estate with a focus of "methode champanois" winemaking styles. Mari Ambal founded Veuve Ambal.
It is produced and bottled in the Côte-d'Or, Burgundy, France. (Just south east of Paris).
Made especially to reflect the tradition and history of Veuve Ambal, but for the everyday wine drinkers who appreciate classic bubbles, traditional Champagne style, sophisticated flavors without breaking the bank. It is made to enjoy for sipping and very food friendly.
Jules Blanc du Blanc is made exclusively of the Ugni Blanc grape varietal from a blend of vineyard sites grown and harvested by local farmers in the Côte-d'Or; which literally means, "Slope of Gold", "Golden Slope".
The vineyards are located in high altitude, and vines are harvested early so the grapes keep their freshness and the required features for sparkling wine production.
Ugni Blanc is a white grape variety notably used to make still and sparkling wines and is a common blending grape to bring more depth, acidity and citrus flavors to the mix. It is one of the most widely planted grapes around the world. Known for its resistance and tolerance to certain vine diseases. It's also the main grape used to make cognac and Armagnac.
