Juicy and rosy pink in color with a creamy, frothy mousse. Layered with ripe peaches, red berries and hibiscus. Gently fizzy with crushed raspberries and a dash of fresh-squeezed orange. Delicious and easy, this light red has a high tickly acidity that is juxtaposed very well with a pithy grippy finish. To be enjoyed chilled and in the sun, this is the perfect summer sparkler!

Expressive Wines from small growers. Grapes sourced from Rui Paiva, nephew of Biodynamic producer Fernando Paiva. Rui has 4 hectares of mostly 20-year-old vines in the Vinho Verde area of Felgueiras. The harvest was done by three generations, Rui, his 80-year-old father and his nephew. This Pet Nat was hand harvested, foot-stomped, and fermented in Amphora. To each amphora, 1kg of ground chestnut flowers are left to macerate in the juice.

This Pet Nat is from 80% Espadeiro and 20% Loureiro. These were the last grapes arriving at the cellar. Upon arrival, the grapes were destemmed and moved to a stainless-steel tank to start a pellicular macerarion for three days at 4C. At this point 500gm/kg of ground chestnut flowers are added and mixed into the mass and the grapes are then pressed and returned to the stainless-steel tank for the fermentation to start and dept at 15ºC. Before the fermentation ends the unfinished wine is racked and bottled with 18g/l of residual sugar for the fermentation to finish in the bottle. It is not disgorged and has the natural sediments left in the bottle. There was no SO2 added to this Pet Nat!
