The 2022 Foris Cedar Ranch Pinot Gris offers fragrant pear, honeysuckle, and stone fruit aromas with Layers of juicy pear, bright lemon zest, and a subtle pithiness, complemented by green apple, almond, and refreshing minerality, lifted by bright acidity for a clean, textured finish that suggests Alsatian style.
Foris Vineyards in Rogue Valley, Oregon, is owned by the Gerber family, founded by pioneer Ted Gerber, with his wife Terri handling administration, and Alicia Gerber, Ted's daughter, involved in vineyard operations; Stephanie Pao is the current winemaker, bringing extensive experience to their estate-grown wines, known for high elevation terroir in the Illinois Valley. Winemaker Stephanie Pao (a Chinese American) has been at the helm of Foris wine production since 2017. She has a degree in molecular biology, as well as having studied viticulture and enology at UC Davis, and experience in vineyards and wineries in Oregon, Washington, California and New Zealand.
