Tinto Pesquera Reserva 2019 has finesse and strength and is a wonderful example of the true elegance that can be obtained when Tempranillo is aged over time in bottle. A brilliant deep ruby hue. A rich and intense nose of sweet black fruit and sweet spice, such as vanilla and clove, from the oak maturation. On the palate, complex and very layered with black fruit aroma, such as plums, together with notes of smoke, spices, roasted coffee beans, toffee, licorice and brioche. Juicy dark fruit and florals are balanced by defined acidity. The finish is long and persistent, with well rounded, integrated tannins for a creamy mouthfeel and elegant texture.

The history of Familia Fernández Rivera began with the ingenuity of Alejandro Fernández and Esperanza Rivera, as well as the hard work and unity of a family. Together they created—according to Robert Parker—one of the best wines in the world. The group now boasts four wineries, a hotel and a team comprised of more than 120 people. Familia Fernández Rivera has known how to adapt to the times. At present, its wines and products are sold in more than 70 countries. In 2019, the granddaughters of Esperanza and Alejandro took over the reins of this winemaking group. The third generation of Familia Fernández Rivera is now at the helm of a company that adapts to the times and continues to expand.
