Crisp and clean, of a canary yellow hue with gemstone clarity, their Chardonnay showcases aromas of night blooming jasmine, tropical guava, starfruit, lychee, and key lime with stone fruit undertones. The palate bursts with juicy yet zesty flavors. Showcasing a bright, silky and creamy texture. Medium body, lingering finish with hints of honeydew melon, limestone dust and a refreshing minerality. Made from sustainably grown wine grapes.

85% Chardonnay, 15% Chenin Blanc

In 1980, Dr. Bassett and Marcela Brown bought a ranch in the eastern hills of Napa Valley. They planted grapes, mostly Zinfandel, and sold them to local winemakers for a decade. In 1995, the Brown siblings; Deneen, David and Coral Brown, founded Brown Estate, and planted additional vines on land that their parents had farmed since 1980. In 1996, they bottled their first vintage of Zinfandel. This has become their staple wine and is highly acclaimed and is a fully owned and operated Black-owned winery in Napa.

You will find a diverse selection in their wines and their outlook for sharing them. Today Brown Estate is highly regarded for the quality of its wines, all sustainably grown on their estate.

House of Brown is a second-generation wine label under the BROWN Napa Valley umbrella, and is anchored by flagship Brown Estate.

However, the family had long cherished the idea of a more affordable brand which had had diversity and inclusivity at its heart. The brand was to move outside their usual estate-grown offering, and was to be retailed at a more affordable price point.

Deneen Brown had a strong vision for House of Brown: it was to be modern and fashionable, and it needed to portray diversity in a unique and appealing way. Inspired by fashion magazines we wrapped the House of Brown branding around the bottle to create a backdrop to the striking image. Created from a collage of people of different genders and ethnicities, the beautiful yet powerful image is interwoven with fruits and flowers echoing the wine notes.

House of Brown was to be, in the family’s words, a brand where “everyone was welcome”.
