Baltimore Coddies Recipe

Ingredients

Cod fillets
-
2-3 Potatoes

Saltines
-
1 egg
-
Butter
-
Milk
-
Seasonings: Old Bay, salt
Instructions:

Peel and cut the potatoes.

Add water to a pot and salt generously. Add potatoes and boil until they are tender.

Remove the potatoes from water. In a bowl, add potatoes, butter, milk, and salt. Mash until smooth.

Salt the cod and steam for about 10 minutes.

In a separate bowl, use a fork to flake the cod.

With a food processor, grind half of a sleeve of saltines.

Add the cod and saltines to the mashed potatoes. Then add one egg. Fold together. Add Old Bay to taste.

Make patties with the mixture. They should be about the size of your palm.

Fry the patties in the oil of your choice.

Serve with a side of saltines.
