Pale gold. A classic Gewürztraminer, with unctuous flavors of tropical fruit and honey and a distinct smokiness. Lengthy, fresh, and a touch bitter on the finish, with top notes of orange pith.Extracted from vines that the Schoffits have been taking care of for 4 generations, this Gewürztraminer perfectly expresses the characteristics of the soil and the climate of Colmar where it grows. Its sugar level, usually around 30g/L residual for 4g/L acidity, is well-balanced by the freshness and purity that comes with the cool temperatures of Alsatian nights. As with all wines of the estate, it is entirely hand-harvested, fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks.
