An exquisitely blended wine of traditional grapes classically representing the spice and flavor of Portugal's terroir.

Ripe raspberry, dark cherry fruit aromas lead way to juicy, jammy blackcurrant. Mingling with soft spices and firm, luxurious tannins, leaves a smooth mouthfeel, delicious taste and long finish. It shows great complexity at a steal of a price.

Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Trincadeira are the perfect trio for this everyday and special occasion red. With plenty finesse to drink without a food pairing, it packs enough full-well rounded balance to set with your pork roast or braised lamb dish. Truly, we are in agreement with the Washington Post when they gave this a Top 12 Best Bargain of the Year writeup.

Between Lisbon and the left bank of the Tagus river, this wine house has been managed by 5 generations of Portuguese women.

Casa Cadaval’s history dates back over 400 year when the Palace of the Muge housed European royalty. In the beginning of the 19th century the house fell under the Dominion of Casa Cadaval when Dona Maria de Faro (Countess of Odemira) married D. Nuno Álvares Pereira de Melo, to become the first Duke of Cadaval. Today Dona Maria’s granddaughter Countess Teresa Schönborn is now the fifth generation of women to run the estate. The vineyards are influenced by the presence of the former Tagus Delta endowed the soils with maritime minerals that today influence the wines of Casa Cadaval, giving them a unique freshness, minerality and elegance. In addition to managing the vineyards Teresa’s estate also boasts one of the oldest Lusitanian stud farms on the Ibernian Peninsula.
