Fruit forward and drinkable, to be enjoyed for its youthful red berry character, This is a medium-body wine with crunchy cherry and dried violets. Snappy Gamay brimming with a finish of baked cherries, ground clove, and plucky acidity. Able to be enjoyed lightly chilled.

Harvested by hand, the grapes are destemmed and hand-sorted before being crushed and put into vats. The maceration then takes 5-6 weeks, with regular punch downs, with indigenous yeast only. Once pressed, the juice spends around a year in concrete tanks. Filtered, not fined.

Jenny Lefcourt, of Jenny & François Selections, the importer of many of your favorite wines. Or that she was the first female wine importer in the United States, and arguably the states’ first natural wine importer, period.  Lefcourt is a humble powerhouse. She built her business by lugging bottles of wine from Paris to New York, nearly selling them door-to-door like some 1950’s vacuum salesman while getting her PhD at Harvard. Now, nearly twenty years later, Jenny & François Selections isn’t just a side hustle picked up in Paris, but one of the most successful natural wine importing portfolios in the U.S.
