The 2025 Villiera Chenin Blanc is a classic, fruit-forward South African white wine, sourced partly from 40% old bush vines, this 100% Chenin Blanc pours a pale straw-yellow with bright clarity and green reflections. The aromatic profile is vibrant and expressive, opening with abundant fruit notes of ripe pineapple, tropical guava, and crisp citrus, beautifully lifted by a faint hint of wood spice from partial oak fermentation. On the palate, the wine delivers a rich and generous mouthfeel that is perfectly balanced by a clean line of refreshing acidity. Having matured for two months on the lees, it exhibits a smooth, rounded texture and excellent fruit purity before culminating in a long, well-balanced finish. Built with the structural depth to cellar and evolve gracefully for 3 to 5 years (until 2030), this versatile white is best served chilled at 8–10°C (46–50°F).

Villiera is a family run winery in the Stellenbosch region of South Africa. The Grier family has been running the farm for 4 generations, growing into a leading South African producer with a range of award-winning Cap Classique sparkling wines. Labor practices are accredited by The Wine and Agricultural Ethical Trading Association. As members of the Biodiversity of Wine Initiative, the Grier family is committed to environmental preservation. Farming methods are environmentally friendly, including natural pest control methods (e.g., ducks, not insecticide). Natural resource consumption is also sustainable, with initiatives such as a solar power facility, a wildlife preserve, water conservation and recycling, and greening projects to reduce the winery’s carbon footprint.
