This Austrian blend of 40% Zweigelt, 40% Blaufrankisch, 20% Merlot. Fresh, almost crunchy red cherry has a totally honest fresh-faced appeal. This puts fruit first, captured at the perfect intersection of ripeness and freshness. Ruby garnet richness, dark berry spice. This is enlivening, juicy and elegant. Well structured with vigorous tannins and velvety mouthfeel, and huge fun with a lip-smacking finish. The Netzl farm is located in the village Göttlesbrunn in the Austrian wine region of Carnuntum and has history going back to 1860. Wholly organic and sustainably farmed.

The climate in the Carnuntum during the growing season is typically warm and dry in the late summer and fall. This combined with cooler nights and frequently steady winds, enhances the Netzls ability to make both red and white wines that show freshness, spice, structure and complexity both aromatically and on the pallet.

In this case, the regional mark comes from the Hagelsberg, Holzweg and Kraften vineyards. "Carnuntum" stands for a particularly typical Zweigelt that reflects the character of the region. For this, each wine must pass the test by a tasting jury.
