Being both single vineyard and mono varietal, this is a wine that showcases the power of single status. This is a confident wine that doesn’t rely on anything else other than its own expression. The aromatics lead with plum, currants and raspberries and then gives way to sweet tobacco, graphite and roasted bell peppers. The palate is dominated by savory dried herbs, turned earth and dark fruit. It has a broad presence on the palate with persistent, yet refined, tannins that have an extended finish. This is a wine that is approachable in its youth, but will be happy to age gracefully over a handful of years. Really, this is a wine we should all strive to be. Drink with confidence.
