2019 Cantemerle Les Allees, 5th Cru -Haut Medoc, Bordeaux, France

Les Allées de Cantermele is the second wine of Château Cantemerle which can be traced back to the 12th century, when it started life as a fortification guarding the shores of the Medoc. 

This is a lively, fun wine, with an attractive nose of cherry, plum and cedar. The glass is filled with sweet and savory, medium to full bodied, with concentrated, juicy red fruits, like ripe strawberry, raspberry and cherry. It boasts a good structure and backbone but easy drinking supple tannins linger through start to finish on each sip. A slight toasty spice on the tail end. Very inviting!

The wines of Cantemerle are medium-bodied, charming, fresh and elegant. They drink well young but will age graefully for 20 years.
