2024 Bedell White Franc Blanc Wells Road Vineyard - North Fork, Long Island, New York

Crafted as a brilliant white wine from dark-skinned red grapes, this dry and deeply aromatic stunner captures the essence of its unique maritime terroir. In the glass, it pours a pale, clear straw hue, immediately opening with vibrant aromas of fresh white peach, crisp lemon drops, and a hint of wet stone minerality. On the palate, a beautiful, fleshy texture unfolds, balancing the grape's natural lifted acidity with subtle, complex undertones of eucalyptus, savory herbs, and a whisper of nutmeg. The finish is remarkably clean and dry, making it a sophisticated, food-friendly expression of the North Fork. 

A pioneering, family-owned estate founded in 1980, is widely regarded as a benchmark winery for the North Fork of Long Island. Known for its certified sustainable farming practices and historic all-female cellar crews, Bedell seamlessly blends regional tradition with inventive winemaking. 

The 2024 vintage was spearheaded by Marin Brennan, who was promoted to Winemaker for both Bedell Cellars and Corey Creek in early 2024 after a 12-year tenure at the estate. Brennan actually pioneered this exact White Cabernet Franc style for the winery's small-batch series, previously earning a spectacular 93-point review and solidifying her status as one of the region's most exciting, barrier-breaking talents.
