The Gruet Cuvée 89 is a classic American sparkling wine produced using the traditional méthode champenoise, primarily from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The Brut expression is characterized by a luminous golden tone and fine bubbles, offering a palate of green apple, grapefruit, and ripe pear complemented by complex secondary notes of toasted bread, brioche, and a hint of vanilla, vibrant aromas of fresh strawberries and raspberries, finishing with a zesty, well-rounded acidity.

Its Rosé counterpart features a beautiful garnet color with The winery’s foundation is rooted in the legacy of Gilbert Gruet, who established his original Champagne house, Gruet et Fils, in Bethon, France, in 1952. Seeking new opportunities, Gilbert planted an experimental vineyard in the high-altitude desert of New Mexico in 1984, where his children, Laurent and Nathalie Gruet, relocated to pioneer the family's American venture. While the winery was acquired by Seattle-based Precept Wine in 2015, it recently marked a significant leadership transition in 2024 by appointing Carrie Gurule as its first female head winemaker. Gurule, a New Mexico native who trained under Laurent Gruet, now oversees the production of the label's acclaimed bubbles as of 2025.
