Every dream has to begin somewhere. For Nneka Ihim — licensed attorney, entrepreneur, and the Black woman founder behind Bido Sparkling Wines — it began with a love of celebration, a reverence for the craft of sparkling wine, and the conviction that any moment can be the right one to begin something new. She named her brand “Bido” — the Igbo word for “begin” — and adorned the label with Nigeria’s national flower, the Yellow Trumpet: bold, beautiful, and unmistakable. A symbol that every new beginning deserves.
The BIDO Sparkling Brut is the blanc expression of that beginning — the white to the Brut Rosé’s red, and a wine of its own distinct personality. Made from 80% Airén and 20% Macabeo, two of Spain’s most graceful white varieties, and crafted in the heart of France’s Loire Valley using the Méthode Traditionnelle — the same labor-intensive, bottle-fermented method that defines traditional Champagne — the BIDO Brut delivers a luxurious tasting experience built on creaminess, elegance, and restraint. Smooth texture. Delicate, lingering aromas. A harmonious blend that captivates the senses without overwhelming them. Sweet in impression but dry in reality — mellow, rounded, and refined. At $26.99, it is one of the best-value traditional method sparkling whites you can pour.

The creamy texture, delicate aromas, fine mousse, and elegant, mellow character of this Loire Valley Brut make it a naturally versatile companion for a wide range of celebratory and everyday dishes. Pairs beautifully with oysters, crab, and fresh seafood — the fine bubbles and bright acidity cut through brine and richness with ease. The creamy, rounded texture makes it a wonderful match for soft cheeses, brie, and camembert. Also excellent alongside light appetizers, smoked salmon, fruit and cheese boards, and anything fried where the bubbles provide balance and lift. A natural for Game Day entertaining, happy hour, gifting, and any occasion that deserves a pour as polished and celebratory as the woman who made it. Serve well-chilled at 40–45°F.
