The wine is then aged for 22 months in French oak, with 20% new oak and 80% neutral oak. The wine has a deep red berry core and a spice component, and some say it has notes of red fruit like cherry and strawberry. It's also said to have tannins and acids that are strong when young, indicating good potential for cellar aging.
