Wine Producer / Historical Notes

Aslina is a Black-owned, woman-owned wine brand founded by Ntsiki Biyela, South Africa’s first Black female winemaker. Originally from rural KwaZulu-Natal, Ntsiki received a scholarship to study winemaking at Stellenbosch University before building her career in South African wine.

Named after her grandmother, Aslina reflects her personal heritage and the strength, wisdom, and warmth passed down through generations. The Ndubs range draws on childhood memories and the comfort of family, bringing that spirit to fruit-driven wines made for everyday moments.
