2021 Oakville - Ghost Block, Zinfandel, Napa Valley, CA

The Pelissa family spans 120 years and five generations, the 9th bonded winery in California since 1877and today, this same winery is the home of Napa Wine Company, where the family makes all of our organically-grown wines. They are proud to be the only single-digit bonded winery still in existence in California, and Oakville Winery wines pay homage to this history and heritage. Under the direction of Winemaker Lynn Watanabe, the impeccably-made Oakville Winery Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel are sourced primarily from Pelissa Vineyard directly behind the winery in the heart of the acclaimed Oakville AVA.

The 2021 Oakville Winery Zinfandel was made by Lynn Watanabe, who steers away from the classic fruity California Zinfandel. This wine exhibits aromas of cherry, raspberries, pomegranate, spices, and hibiscus flower; on the palate, you are encountered by an elegant, clean entry with fine-grained tannins and well-balanced structure, finishing with a lively crispy finish. Enjoy a glass of this beautiful zinfandel by itself, or pamper yourself by pairing it with delicious duck confit.
