Isabella presents an intense cherry red hue with a violet tinge,. Dark red fruits, hints of strawberry and raspberry, balanced with smooth toasted notes and spicy, licorice hues. Tasty, fruity wine, well-rounded tannins with light touches of smoky, toasted vanilla.

This deep garnet-colored wine has aromas of Chambord, cocoa powder and orange blossom. It is juicy at first sip and the brawny tannins settle in, joined by Luxardo cherry, blackberry pie, dark chocolate, violet and orange-zest flavors. A soft touch of earthiness adds interest to the finish. - Mike DeSimone / WE 90pts

This fantastic Bobal comes from a small wine region that most wine maps forget to include. That’s not unexpected as hundreds of tiny and obscure wine regions don’t make the cut. Ribera del Jucar is next to the slightly more famous Manchuela DO where the claim to fame varietal for both of these wine regions is a local varietal, Bobal.

Bobal has always been used locally as a blending grape, but it’s becoming more common over the past decade to offer it as a single-varietal wine. This particular bottle is a great introduction to the grape.

Bodegas Albero is a family project which began in 2014, the initiative of three siblings who inherited their passion for wine and agriculture from the generations of growers who came before them. They prioritize Spanish indigenous varieties that better express the flavours of the terroir; however, they also work some international varieties to blend and enhance the best characteristics of both.
Bodegas Albero is focused on working on the winery as it was done until the last century, before the introduction of common chemicals. They combine our passion for organic farming with the most modern techniques to protect the authenticity of each variety.
