Steinmetz is a third-generation family winery in Brauneberg, with a history stretching back more than a century. Husband-and-wife team Sammie and Stefan Steinmetz carry that tradition forward through hands-on vineyard work and winemaking.

This Black-owned, woman-owned producer describes its approach as “natural viticulture,” avoiding fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides while controlling yields and harvesting and sorting by hand. Its steep vineyard slopes require manual work, reinforcing the estate’s close connection to its sites.
