The beloved Revolutionary label pays homage to Emiliano Zapata, and is the birth wine of Cristina's son Julian. This vintage has shown especially beautifully, proving once again that Petit Verdot stands proudly on its own. The blackberry-stained purple-black wine unfolds a heady nose of dried tobacco, blueberry muffin mix, eucalyptus, and chocolate. On the palate, a medium-full-body delivers canela spiced chocolate, red plum skin, and tannin. In a prolonged finish, blackberry and seared sweet ancho chile leave a lasting impression.

Latina owned & operated. Small production wines at accessible prices. Focused on Big Red and Aromatic Whites. Minimal intervention winemaking.

Cristina Gonzales is the granddaughter of migrant farm workers who moved to Wisconsin to pick cherries in search of a better life. She gained experience as a winemaker by jumping in headfirst and learning as she went—even when atop a forklift.

Cristina lives in Portland with her son Julian and their blue heeler, Bean.

In addition to being a winemaker, Cristina also serves on the Board of Directors of AHIVOY , the Oregon Wine Board, and is the co-founder of Community Wine Bar.
