2022 Vina Elena Familia Pacheco Selección "Para Paco" Red Blend, Jumilla, Spain

A warm, structured Jumilla red built around the region’s signature Monastrell, with ripe black fruit, dark berry, cocoa, dried herbs and balsamic spice shaped by extended aging in French oak. Syrah adds dark-fruited spice while Garnacha brings lift, and the combination of limestone soils, dry-farmed vines and elevation helps balance Mediterranean ripeness with freshness and polished tannins.

Bodegas Viña Elena is a four-generation Pacheco family winery with particularly strong female leadership. Third-generation sisters Elena and Emi Pacheco now run the family business; Elena Pacheco is both CEO and a trained winemaker, while longtime oenologist Pilar Abellán brings professional winemaking experience dating to 1987. Selección Para Paco honors Elena and Emi’s father, Paco Pacheco, pairing that family legacy with Jumilla’s powerful Monastrell and the dark fruit, herbs, cocoa and warming spice that make it especially suited to late-autumn meals.
