A dry, medium-bodied Syrah with blackcurrant and licorice on the nose, followed by dark fruit, warming spice, moderate acidity and firm, dry tannins. The warmer Aegean growing environment gives the wine greater ripeness and breadth than many cool-climate Syrah's while retaining the grape’s savory, peppery structure.

Kavaklıdere is a four-generation, family-owned Turkish winery founded in Ankara in 1929 and a major force in modern Turkish wine. Production Director Ahu Çamlı Tokgöz and winemaker Sanem Karadeniz form an important female winemaking leadership presence within Kavaklıdere’s production team and are the winery's guidance behind this beautifully distinguished traditional brand.
