This Galilee Cabernet Sauvignon shows polished black cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry and black raspberry with black olive, dried herbs and a fresh savory undertone. The palate is fruit-driven but structured, with dark-fruit concentration balanced by herbal character and polished tannins. Recanati Galilee Cabernet Sauvignon is a perfect fall wine because it brings the same bold, sun-ripened black plum fruit that California Cab lovers crave, but wraps it in a savory autumn profile layered with Mediterranean herbs and subtle hints of cedar. Thanks to elegant French oak aging and a balanced, food-friendly freshness, this bottle delivers all the rich, smooth texture you expect from a premium Cabernet while pairing beautifully with hearty stews and slow-cooked comfort foods.
Recanati Winery was founded in Israel in 2000 by Lenny Recanati and Uri Shaked, with its production now led by Chief Winemaker Kobi Arviv, who joined the winery in 2006. Arviv has been instrumental in exploring how Mediterranean, indigenous and international varieties respond to Israeli terroir. Israel is one of the world’s most intriguing territories for viticulture, with an array of microclimates and incredible terroir. Recanati has been at the forefront of Israel’s modern wine revolution since 2000, marrying international grapes with ancient, indigenous varieties. Inspired by the wildflowers depicted in many ancient carvings and mosaics found in the Galilee region, the Recanati logo represents the rebirth of winemaking traditions with the establishment of the modern state of Israel in their ancient homeland. For nearly a decade, Recanati has been the only Israeli winery to be invited to Wine Spectator’s New York Wine Experience, joining ranks with the top 250 wineries in the world. Year after year, Recanati earns myriad 90+ point scores and top critical acclaim. Cabernet provides members with a familiar grape while the Galilee origin offers an entirely different geographic expression, with dark fruit, herbs and structure naturally suited to autumn’s roasted meats and earthy dishes.
