The K Art Den Hoed Viognier opens with brilliant, exotic aromas of ripe peach, fresh-picked apricot, honeysuckle, and a touch of tangerine before revealing deeper layers of crushed slate, wisteria, and white rose. The palate is creamy and luscious yet balanced by a vibrant freshness and mineral tension.
The Art Den Hoed Vineyard is located in the lower Yakima Valley and sits at an elevation of 1,300 feet, making it one of the coolest microclimates in the area with exceptional air drainage. The 2024 growing season was heavily defined by an unusually harsh winter freeze that naturally restricted vine yields, resulting in a rare concentration of flavor, intense aromatic focus, and striking structural energy in the glass.

Founded by iconic, self-taught winemaker Charles Smith under the House of Smith umbrella, K Vintners represents a radical return to hands-on, artisan winemaking that intentionally avoids a manufactured corporate feel. This specialty bottling is entirely unfined and unfiltered, crafted using native yeasts and whole-cluster pressing before being bottled directly off its gross lees to preserve the raw, textured character of the fruit. All grapes for this production are sustainably farmed strictly following organic and biodynamic principles with zero pesticides or additives.
It makes an excellent pairing for rich roasted duck, creamy curries, or seared scallops with a ginger-citrus glaze.
Varietal: 100% Viognier.
ABV: 14.5%
