If you’ve only ever had Ruby Port, you’re missing half the story. Tawny Port — aged in small oak barrels for a decade or more — is a completely different experience: nutty, oxidative, and layered with a complexity that develops slowly and rewards patience. This NV 10 Year Old Aged Tawny is a beautiful introduction to the style: warm amber in color, rich with roasted almond and dried apricot, and endlessly satisfying. Serve it chilled as an aperitif or alongside dessert — either way, it’s a revelation.
Wine Details & Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes: Warm amber-tawny with aromas of roasted almond, dried apricot, orange peel, caramel, and a hint of vanilla and spice. On the palate, it’s medium-sweet with a silky texture, flavors of dried fruit, toffee, and toasted nuts, and a long, warming finish. Ten years of barrel aging has produced a wine of beautiful complexity and elegance.

Food Pairing
10 Year Tawny Port is one of the world’s most versatile fortified wines — equally at home as an aperitif, a dessert wine, or a digestif. Served slightly chilled, it’s extraordinary alongside salted almonds, marcona almonds, and aged manchego. As a dessert pairing, it shines with crème brûlée, pecan pie, almond tart, and anything with caramel or toffee. The classic pairing is with blue cheese — the sweetness and salt create a combination that’s hard to forget. Also wonderful alongside dark chocolate, dried apricots, and walnuts. Try it chilled over ice with a twist of orange peel for a stunning aperitif cocktail.

Perfect for holiday entertaining, intimate dinner parties, and gifting the wine lover who appreciates something a little different. A beautiful introduction to Tawny Port for anyone who hasn’t yet discovered this extraordinary wine style, and a reliable crowd-pleaser for guests who already love it. Also a stunning gift alongside a box of fine chocolates or a selection of artisan cheeses.
Wine Producer / Historical Notes
Tawny Port is produced in Portugal’s Douro Valley — one of the world’s oldest demarcated wine regions and the birthplace of Port wine. Unlike Ruby Port, which is aged briefly in large vats to preserve its fresh fruit character, Tawny Port is aged in small oak barrels where controlled oxidation gradually transforms the wine — deepening its color from ruby to amber-tawny, and developing the nutty, dried-fruit complexity that defines the style. The “10 Year” designation refers to the average age of the wines in the blend, ensuring a consistent house style of exceptional quality. This is one of the wine world’s great traditions — and one of its most underappreciated pleasures.
