Bright ruby with violet reflections in the glass, this Monastrell opens with aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, and red cherry layered with subtle hints of Mediterranean herbs and gentle spice. The palate is smooth and expressive, delivering juicy dark fruit balanced by lively acidity and soft tannins. Flavors of black plum, raspberry, and a touch of earthy minerality unfold across the mid-palate, finishing vibrant and clean with lingering fruit and a warm Mediterranean character that reflects the sun-drenched vineyards of Jumilla.

The wine is produced at Bodegas Viña Elena, a historic family winery in Jumilla now led by sisters Elena Pacheco and Amelia Pacheco, members of the fourth generation of the Pacheco family. Elena Pacheco serves as director and winemaker, overseeing vineyard management and winemaking while guiding the evolution of the winery’s modern portfolio. Her sister Amelia Pacheco manages international sales, export markets, and brand development, helping expand the winery’s presence beyond Spain. Together they continue the legacy begun by their great-grandfather Francisco Pacheco in 1948, farming vineyards in Jumilla’s dry Mediterranean climate where limestone soils and intense sunlight allow Monastrell to thrive.
